Boston College is up next in the TSB ACC Primer OOC Schedule Examination and Exaggeration series.? Georgia Tech, Clemson, Duke, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech are already in the books.? Hit the jump for an in depth look at what BC has done so far.
When Boston College rolls into Chapel Hill today to get beat down by the Tar Heels, they will do so with a 5 ? 9 record.? To obtain a record as nice as that, BC started out the year with a win over New Hampshire (5-8).? The Golden Eagles could not keep it going though, as they lost the next three games; Holy Cross (6-8), UMASS (12-3) and Saint Louis (12-3).? Then it took overtime to defeat UC-Riverside (7-8).? Not to be discouraged, BC then went on a four game losing streak to the likes of New Mexico (13-2), Penn State (9-7), Boston University (4-11) and Providence (11-5).
So through nine games, the Golden Eagles had managed two wins.? To keep you on your toes, they then went on a three game winning streak taking down such mighty programs as Stoney Brook (7-6), Bryant University (1-13)and Sacred Heart (7-9).? Then they took on a very good Harvard (12-2) team, who beat them by 21 points.? Add in a double overtime loss to Rhode Island (3-12) for good measure, and we have the makings of another debacle of a season for BC.
Here at TSB we picked BC to finish near the bottom of the league, behind only Wake Forest.? The good news for BC is that not only is Wake living up to this so far, but Georgia Tech is also going to challenge them for the title of the worst team in the ACC.
